So you’ve just joined eflmaster and you want to start your own thread. Or maybe you have already started one but no one is posting there . You check your thread every day, but still no one is interested. What did you do wrong? Starting a thread might seem like an easy thing to do, but it requires knowing some things about the board and the people who post there. Here are some things you should do before you post a thread on eflmaster.


· before starting a thread, search the message board for a few weeks. Get a feel of the board, the people who post here and the type of topics that attracts the most interest. Don’t think that other users are interested in the same things you are. See first what you might have in common before starting a thread.



· Post first in other threads. Say hello to other members and let them know how much you enjoy reading their posts we have the

for this purpose. Be friendly and let people know you want to be one of the them. Other members will be interested in what you have to say once they get to know you.



Decide whether the topic you want to introduce in your thread is appropriate. Don’t use bad language or insult any of the other members. This is a sure way to get banned. Also determine whether the topic is appropriate to the board. We are an English board For instance, if you start a thread about gardening here, then you might not generate as much interest in your thread.



Familiarize yourself with the board. Know the appropriate places to post threads. For instance, if you want to start a thread about your favorite TV show, make sure to start it in the

. If you post a thread in an inappropriate area your post will either be moved or deleted by our Admin or other moderators.



Begin with a short post. Create a post that will open up conversations on the topic

is an ideal place to start. Generate interest by asking members for their opinions on the subject. For instance, if you’re posting on a classic movie topic, ask other members what they think about a particular classic movie you enjoy. Offer your own opinion, but be brief. Direct the thread topic back to the other members so that they’ll feel encouraged to offer their opinions.



If your threads don’t generate interest at first, don’t be disappointed, keep trying and be patient. After you’ve made your presence known on the board and developed friends there, you’ll be able to create threads that will generate a lot of interest and conversations.

Any forum has a sub-forum where you can post your questions related to the topic, you can see it on the top of the forum here is an example, if you are in the Grammar forum and you have a question about grammar you can post it in its sub-forum titled Your questions
