This can be a very useful topic in many ways.

Knowing your mistakes can help you improve.

I am always ,as a teacher ,used to correcting my students' mistakes and telling them of all that help them to firstly recognize their weak points and secondly be aware not to repeat them anymore.

I hope dear users won't take it into their hearts to single out their mistakes because here the aim is improving,learning and being correct.

Please, if possible the sender of the post,preferably, tries to correct his/her mistakes after I spot them.

THis post , first my post in this board

The most important part of a sentence is the VERB and that is what the above sentence missing and then the order of the sentence is wrong.


Ordinal numbers like FIRST in our sentence are like adjectives after the,my,etc.,

My first post
Her next book

The fourth town we visited
The last letter he got

so the correct version of the sentence is:

This is my first post in this board.

There are some points in this sentence worth mentioning.

I as a pronoun is always capitalized.

The verb BE is the most common and most irregular verb in English.It has 8 different forms.
We can make different structures with BE:
Main verb BE:
Be is a main verb when it is followed by an adjective,a numeral,a noun phrase,or a prepositional phrase

I am hungry.(adjective)
My son is eighteen.(numeral)
Mohammad is a good friend.(noun phrase)
We are from Japan.(prepositional phrase)

An auxiliary verb BE:
BE is an auxiliary verb when it is followed by a participle
be+ing form=progressive

My sister is studying physics.
So in our sentence we should say:
I am introducing myself.
or
I introduce myself
or
let me introduce myself.

And did you pay attention to MYSELF?
it is one word.

This is the result of thinking in Farsi when speaking instead of thinking in English.

In farsi we say من 20 سال دارم. but in English we don't.

I am 20 years old.

A PhD is a degree awarded to people who have done advanced research into a particular subject. PhD is an abbreviation for `Doctor of Philosophy'.
As you may noticed this word is capitalized the way you see.

First of all please mind your spelling,it is very important to check the spell of words before you write them.

I am studying English......TO BE + VERB+(ing)

A.We usually use the progressive to describe something that is temporary,i.e. it does not last long.

Eg. It is raining.

B.If something continues for a long time,it is no longer temporary,it is a state of habit,and we use the present simple.

Eg. We are living in a small town.(at present)

We (normally) live in a village near Rome.

However we can use the progressive for a habit if it is temporary.

Eg. She is travelling to work by bicycle while the bus strike is on.

I've started English something like 4-5 years ago back at the time when I was in second grade of junior high school (or whatever you may wanna call it). first , it started as though it's a very typical class but as I progressed through English and found out that my world is LITERALLY in ENGLISH , I felt really motivated and got by pretty quick. Bottom line ... if there is anything (or possibly anyone) that I'm practically in love with , I would say that's English.
As I've mentioned earlier , it didn't took me a long time to realize how dependent I and My world are on English , so I practically do everything in English , as an example I listen to English music , constantly playing English games , watching TV in English 24/7 (who desn't these days?) and last but not least even made efforts to study my school materials in English and also Read in English.
I even think and talk to my self in English which I know may sound a bit off and nutcase-like but I really don't care about that specific matter.
I came across this beautifully designed forum while I was searching for a dictionary and found the actual structure of the site pretty fascinating and since I'm in English , thought maybe it's time to partake in actuall Persian English communities like this one.
My other habits are mainely Gaming and music, I'm not really the atheletic type but recently found a pretty strong passion for getting good in vollyball..... Most of the time , when it comes down to music I tend to go for Rock-Alternative genre since I think it's pretty distinc and holds and edge to today's very corny music played all over the place.
Some people also call me a computer geek, that may be so but I think that's basically because I've helped them through computer-related matters.
I'm really glad to be here, though the number of users are very limited but I guess in a year or two , things gonna change .

WRONG:

CORRECT:
I started English something like 4-5 years ago.

Sequence of tense has not been met.
WRONG:
it started as though it's a very typical class but as I progressed through English and found out that my

CORRECT:
It started as though it was a very typical class but as I progressed through English and found out that my world was LITERALLY in ENGLISH.


WRONG:

WRONG SPELL:
