List three things you want to do, be or have when you are older.
Can you see your dreams in your mind?
- Be very specific about what you want.
Is it important to have dreams and to write them down? Why, or why not?
- Discuss the difference between dreams and goals.
Answer these questions after you read the story:
Do you think Glenna knew that cutting out pictures would make her dreams come true?
Do you think it is possible for you to achieve your dreams in this manner?Are you willing to try it?
Activities:
Cut out pictures of your dreams from old magazines. Be very specific in your choices.
Put them on a poster. Add deadlines to make them into goals.
Hang them in your room to look at every day. Each month, report how it feels to think about your dreams every day.
