I cannot believe it that all my files and valuable books I collected from Internet just gone. Disaster
I have to pay a lot of money to recover my har back. Oh my gosh...for no reason I don't know why...
My system does not find my hard and a friend of mine says that there is something wrong with the board. The problem is I have many family pictures and I do not trust people to leave my hard there to be recovered.

What should I do?

    Have you tried any File-Recovery software?

    I always try to keep very personal family photos zipped and password-protected.

    So, when your system doesn't know your hard disks, how does it operate and start Windows?

    Yeah, those kinds of software really work miracles. I did not believe this until I faced the same problem as Alireza has got. I could save ALL the data I thought otherwise were lost.

    I have two hard drives on my system and one external one.
    My Windows is on my 320GB and as I told my other files on my 500GB and yes...It is sitting there collecting dust now

    There are some recovery software available but before trying them you should tell us the cause of this failure.

    To use the recovery software your system should detect your hard drive first, am I correct?
    My system does not detect the drive at all. And the cause is unknown to me.

    Incorrect. By recovery I do not mean file recovery. I mean the software tools which try to relocate the sectors and recover the structures.
